..the new hairdresser (the saga continues) called sweetheart about twenty times during my hair cut. My EXCELLENT haircut. I think she calls everyone that - or I'd be offended. I can't quite bring myself to focus on whether or not that's true...
...in the lift at John Lewis while gurgling at an adorable baby her mother says 'look poppet - a lady in a BIG buggy'... but she'd been very pleasent about squashing in the lift with me. And I reached the floor I was heading for so couldn't think of what to say to point out to her that its Not The Same Thing. If the child had said it, or the child had been of an age to understand (baby was well under 1) I might not have prickled so much......
