A woman's place is ... on the board

This story seems pretty interesting, about using quotas to enforce gender numbers on boards of management.

I think that there's a need for gender equality, but I'm not absolutely convinced this is the way to get it, particularly bearing in mind that Norway is a pretty balanced country in gender terms. I'm interested in the effects of this in the main because a similar strategy failed utterly here in terms of disability....
