Sad news...

...The Doctors grandfather died aged 104 and a half this week, so we're all really sad. He was an amazing character - who reminded me very much of Himself.

Granddad F was a very colourful character about whom there are many stories. He was a really good man, and very committed to his community, getting up regularly during the winter to get the coal stove which heated the church up and running. He'd get up early to get it nice and warm, and when the vicar arrived he'd always congratulate Granddad F on the nice warm vestry.

'You're welcome', Granddad F would say, 'Just giving you a taste of the hereafter'.

We'll miss you.
